Kaitlin & Brian’s Wedding! | Long Island, New York
What a day we had for Kaitlin and Brian’s wedding! While it was one of the longest wedding days I have every photographed it was such a great day! Only a few short weeks ago I photographed Kaitlin and Brian’s engagement session after rescheduling (what feels like) a dozen times. After I sent them over their photos, Kaitlin sent me the sweetest message saying that both her and Brian trusted me completely with whatever decisions I made for their wedding day photos. This meant SO much to me because that is exactly what I aim for from all of my couples! I want to create the best possible photos for your wedding day, and having my couples full support really helps it the day go smoothly.
Kaitlin and Brian both got ready at the Garden City Hotel Saturday morning. Kaitlin’s beautiful yellow diamond engagement ring looked phenomenal with her ivory bouquet. We had the first look right in the lobby of the hotel before stealing the Bride and Groom (literally in my Jeep) to take portraits at Old Westbury Gardens. That hour at the gardens was absolutely perfect and I am so happy they trusted my decision to go there. We walked around the gardens despite the cold and captured some beautiful fall photos with the soon to be newlyweds. The ceremony was held at the Cure of Ars Roman Catholic Church in Merrick where Kaitlin’s Uncle is the priest. Her Uncle gave the most beautiful and sincere homily during the ceremony, which I know Kaitlin was really looking forward to the most on her wedding day. After some photos in the church we headed on over to the couples wedding reception at Floral Terrace to dance the night away. A love story nearly a decade in the making, and many more to come! Cheers!
