Kristi and Mike have an awesome love story. It’s stories like these that truly make you believe that each and every person has a soul mate. Someone they are meant to be with. Kristi and Mike had met back in 1993 when they were in their mutual friends bridal party – they even walked down the aisle together (practice run?!)
After losing touch they reconnected through Facebook with a simple “Happy Birthday” post. After dinner and coffee (the coffee shop we stopped at for their engagement session) they knew they had a special connection. Fast forward two years to a romantic sunset on the beach and dinner out in Montauk – the thought had crossed her mind that Mike would propose and he did! Luckily, the moment took her by surprise and this leads us up to their wedding day!
Kristi and Mike got married this past weekend at Insignia Steakhouse in Smithtown. I am not sure if you have noticed but the weather is in single digits, making it almost impossible to photograph couples outside. We made the absolute best of the situation, using the beautiful interior of the venue as a backdrop for photographs. Mike’s daughter, Tiffany, gave the sweetest speech during the wedding reception. I am certain there as not a dry eye in the room. It was so nice to see them all become a family. Tiffany even made the chocolate favors!
Wishing Kristi and Mike many more years of happiness together. Cheers!
